I met Rob Kahn almost 15 years ago on a rafting trip in the Chilean Andes. We hit it off immediately due to our ridiculous attention to detail and a lifelong kinship has now ensued.
Several years later, while visiting our winery, Rob noticed our logo, an Eagle with wings spread protecting the land and the grapes that it bears. He asked for a high-resolution enlargement and disappeared without a word as to why. A month later, a beautiful 8” X 10” marquetry plaque appeared showing incredible detail down to the individual grapes and wing feathers!
My wife and I, and most importantly, our customers, were blown away. Right away we displayed the plaque in our tasting and recognized the marketing and sales value of this enlarged logo.
So many people commented on it we commissioned Rob to make a serving tray with an even larger Eagle logo. Now we can carry wine glasses directly to the consumer.
Overall, we all understand that wood is real, inviting, warm and varied. When it is fashioned in an art form it’s value and beauty is even more elevated.
